| The aims of Terre di Sardegna are to promote the identity of the region and its historical, environmental, cultural, craftwork and food and wine heritage, giving support to the growth of inland areas through integration with the coast. Tourism entrepreneurs in the food and wine sector, the managers of new, niche tourism, have not yet grown in the difficult and decisive field which defines the success of a Rural District of Quality: that is, the ability to “sell oneself” effectively in the market, domestically and internationally.
Terre di Sardegna puts forward two pilot initiatives for those potential players in this new proposal:
- To help entrepreneurs (and the institutional
players of the sector) to understand and
to fund this development
- To put in place with them (in accordance
with the needs of each system) active
involvement, experimentation and pilot
direct and indirect marketing initiatives
to promote the commercial viability of
an ever more evolved and integrated tourism
product: a real creative involvement geared
towards responding to the demands of new
patterns of tourism, which favours the
implementation and consolidation of an
integrated system of regional tourism,
based on the support of food and wine
heritage, through a worthy connection
with the region, which exalts culture,
memory and tradition.
Therefore, the question of new tourist
patters will not be by chance or random,
but researched and captured with a growth
and a capacity to become a force within the
domestic and international markets, and knowing
how to establish fruitful relationships with
the playmakers in the dynamic field of tourism. |
