Broad beans (with lard)
Ingredients:
- Dried broad beans
- Lard
- Salt
Preparation:
Put the dried broad beans in lukewarm water
from the day before to allow them to recapture
any lost flavour. Cut some slices of lard,
based on the number of people to be served
and cook in slightly salted water.
Half way through cooking, add the broad beans
and add some salt. To be eaten hot, with the
outer crust of “su pan’e vresa”,
tenderised in a broth. |
